Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I started playing the piano while at primary school. Fast forward some years, and having completed the ABRSM grades, I then decided to take things further and achieved qualifications in Practical Musicianship together with the ABRSM Teaching Diploma and an Open University degree in Music and Art History.
I have taught pupils ranging on age from 7 to 80, beginners to advanced. Some students wish to take examinations; I have experience in coaching for these up to and including Grade 8, with a 100% pass rate, and I am familiar with the requirements of all the ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and Music Teachers' examination boards.
I am a member of the Musicians' Union and hold an up to date DBS certificate for teaching.

Not everyone wants to follow an examination path; I am equally happy teaching in this situation. My main focus is to guide each and every one of my students to enjoy learning to play and achieving their full potential in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere with an approach tailored to each individual. I teach all styles of music, and frequently play duets with my students. I particularly like introducing pupils to material that otherwise they might not have considered, and making their whole experience of learning the piano really positive and enriching.
I am available to teach face to face at Horsham Piano Centre and in Rudgwick each week, and I look forward to meeting you.
